“Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16 NRSV.

Today we are in need of many things, we are anxious, anxious about the state of the economy and its affect on our lives.  We have friends and loved ones who have joined the unemployment roll and as we listen to economists and politicians alike we hear devastating news that the tipping point is still far off.

Yes these are anxious times for many, our family, our friends, cities, states and nations.  Yesterday President Obama stated that he stays awake at night worrying about the state of the economy.  

Let me encourage you that there is a place where we can bring our anxiety, fear and concerns.  In these difficult times we can draw comfort and assurance from the words of Hebrews 4:16, we can approach the throne of grace and there find grace, strength and a sense of inner peace that there is One who cares and walks with us through this difficult journey.
